How much do local movers cost in Atlanta?
Local moves are usually priced by the hour for the crew and truck, and the total depends on home size, stairs or elevators, distance, and how much is packed. Text us your details and photos for a quote before move day.
Do you do moves out of state?
No. CatQuik is registered for household moves within Georgia (USDOT 3909767). We can move you anywhere in Georgia, but not across state lines.
Do you move from Atlanta to other Georgia cities?
Yes. We do long-distance moves and deliveries anywhere within Georgia, including Savannah, Augusta, Macon, Columbus, Athens, and more. Metro Atlanta is home base.
Do you deliver furniture and appliances from stores?
Yes. We pick up from stores, warehouses, and private sellers and deliver across metro Atlanta. Our liftgate truck handles washers, dryers, and refrigerators.
Can I hire you for just one item?
Yes. No job is too big or too small, and we're an economical choice for single-item and small deliveries.
Are you open on weekends or at night?
Yes, we're open 24/7. Early-morning and late moves can help you avoid I-285 and I-20 traffic. Your building's move hours still apply.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can, especially at the end and start of the month, when leases turn over, and on summer weekends. Last-minute jobs are worth a call too.
Do I need to reserve my apartment's elevator or loading dock?
Many Atlanta apartment and condo buildings require it, and some ask for a mover's certificate of insurance. Check with your leasing office and send us the rules so we can plan.
Do you disassemble and reassemble furniture?
Yes. Beds, tables, and desks are taken apart, wrapped, and put back together at the new place.
What should I do before the movers arrive?
Finish packing boxes (unless you booked packing), empty dresser drawers of fragile or heavy items, keep valuables, medicine, and documents with you, and reserve parking or elevators.
Will you load my rental truck or portable container?
Yes. We offer loading and unloading labor for rental trucks, portable containers, and storage units.
Should I tip movers?
Tipping is optional. Many people tip for hard or long jobs, but it's your choice.
How do I check a mover is legitimate?
Look up the USDOT number on the FMCSA website. Ours is 3909767. Be careful with movers who won't give a number or want a large cash deposit.
Can you haul away furniture I'm not keeping?
Yes. We can take unwanted furniture and items on the same trip or as a separate job. Some hazardous items can't be accepted.
