Route to and from Atlanta
GA-316 (University Pkwy) from I-85 in Gwinnett is the main route, about 70 miles or roughly 1.5 hours. US-78 is the other option. The Athens Perimeter (Loop 10) circles the city.
Buildings, HOAs, and move-day tips
Avoid home football Saturdays, when traffic, road closures, and parking around campus are rough. Student leases turn over in late July and early August, so book early. Many downtown apartments have tight loading spots.
